I'm not sure about a true nature's miracle . There may be some
options for you in the Wise Woman tradition, which focusses on
optimal nourishment as a way of responding to our problems. The
theory behind this is that if we nourish ourselves deeply then
our bodies/souls find the natural ways to heal.
Herbs are not drugs, and people are often disappointed with herbs
because they don't 'fix the problem'. I think of herbs as allies
that assist us to heal. They don't have the strength of drugs
usually, but they do have a much broader and deeper healing power.
Perhaps you could share a bit more about your situation - what
is going on for you that you needed xanax? What are you wanting
to change? Are you still taking xanax, or other meds? How stressed
are you in your general life?etc
I'd also be interested to know in what form you took SJW, what
dose and for how long, and if you were using prescription meds
at the same time. Most people I know who have found SJW useless
were taking capsules and/or were not taking her for long enough
(which doesn't of course mean that SJW will be right for everyone).
One of the basics for nourishment is herbal infusions (not tea).
They are full of minerals and other nutrients, as well as medicinal
properties. I love oatstraw because she strengthens the nervous
system. Nettle is great too for any kinds of stress (supports
the adrenals). Herbal infusions promote good health and are a
great complement to whatever other healing methods are used.See:
