Teri, I've never seen such a connection which is not to say it
doesn't exist. I even dug through Matthew Wood's entire chapter
on Wormwood and not a mention of any heart connection at all.
The only caution he will venture is that he has seen some depression
in folks who take large doses regularly.
I find myself wondering if perhaps there's a liver issue going
on here. I know when I take a 'hormone hit' that just FRIES my
liver, I get nausea and basic digestive unhappiness and I'm much
more prone to not only hot flashes and foot cramps, but also the
heart palps. Happy to say it's been a GOOD long time since one
of THOSE episodes. I've come to recognize the pattern of digestive
unhappiness and the sooner I take some Milk Thistle, the faster
it all stops. Motherwort seems to help with it all too.
There IS a way to rather 'fine tune' the self-testing and that's
to concentrate on the PART of you that you're concerned with while
you test with the Wormwood. I would also test with Milk Thistle
and Motherwort and see how you do.
It's really rare to need wormwood for as long as you've been
taking it (10 days), although folks take it preventatively while
traveling. While Wormwood will WIPE OUT the cause of a lot of
digestive upheavals (whether food poisoning or virus/bacteria)
it will also EASE just the symptoms if the cause is something
else. Motherwort will too.
SOMEthing keeps telling me to suggest you have a chat with your
liver and see what's going on.
