Yes,. i dried a bit and burned it...and found it more stinky
than anything else, but certainlyl worth trying out!!
it is really nice sage, and will get nice and bushy and quite
large even, given enough sunshine...it is one ot he sages that
likes lots of sun, and warm yet dry conditions:)
the flowers are just lovely too...and ohhhhh the smell!!
but anyway, WHite sage ( salvia apiana) is used most often for
smudging, and grows wild in california,b ut can be considered
overharvested. If you can get a start soemwhere to grow it be
fantastic. I got seeds but so far no luck getting them to germinate.
*sigh*
some artemisia's ( big sagebrush) are used as smudges as well,
and are nice enough. I like to mix my local artemisia with juniper
in smudge...that is nice. or desert lavender too- hyptis emoryi-
also grows well in california too.
