I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble with the Lupus.
I can see why you're at your wits end. And then a move on top
of it. My understanding is that DHEA can help with the fatigue
you're feeling. I have one more idea for you to look into when
you're feeling up to it. Please keep trying, because there are
different approaches out there.
There are studies that show that SLE patients have a deficiency
of progesterone and there have been studies that have showed that
progesterone treatment can help. I know that it does help. So
this is another hormone that you can have tested. Also it is best
to do the test on the 14th day or during the luteal phase of your
menstrual cycle. I can't find the study right now which showed
the positive treatemnt effects for Lupus right now. This is not
an herbal approach, and Susan generally does not approve of progesterone
supplementation for perimenopausal or menopausal women, but this
is a different situation than what you're in.
I don't want to get your hopes up, but I may have a resource
for you as to a doctor (MD) who is also a naturopath and homeopath.
Their not in your state, but perhaps would be willing to work
with your doctor or give you a referral to someone in your area
who you could work with. Would you like me to email you, if I
can locate this resource?
